I haven't used the alarm yet, but as a clock It's great with large lit numbers. It seems, to be working fine. Easy to read.je
Because they are just that functional. And separate buttons for snooze, or alarm on/off. So the problem with newer clocks is they are too small, or too fancy, too colorful, or have fifty bells and whistles if you can just figure out one of a hundred combos with three buttons.I just want a functional clock/radio like they used to make that's easy to use. This has a seperate buttons for radio on/radio off, and a separate wheel for the station frequency, and another for volume. Everything makes sense, so its easy to use and you can see what time it is in the middle of the night. That's why I dig this clock and got two of them.
I purchased this item for my mother who is elderly and she liked it so much that I bought her another. Easy to read and use and battery back-up is great; she won't have to reset the clock when the power goes out.
The so called "buzzing" is just a low beep that you cannot hardly hear but if you set the alarm to radio it can be as loud as you want. Comes with it's own battery back up so you don't have to worry about missing that important appointment or whatever. As long as it works who cares. This is an easy to use alarm clock. You plug it in, set your time zone and the time is set. Doesn't look to bad but really it's an alarm clock.
However, the display is not adequate for me. Otherwise, it's okay. The clock keeps good time and it's easy to set. The numbers are large but they are too thin and not bright enough in daylight.
